MacBook Air M3/256GB

Design, Form Factor, and Display
Apple's design narrative focuses on extreme portability combined with meticulous structural design:
Two Size Form Factors: It is available in a highly portable 13-inch model (featuring a 13.6-inch screen) and a more expansive 15-inch model (featuring a 15.3-inch screen). Both enclosures are crafted from durable aluminum.
Liquid Retina Display: The screens feature up to 500 nits of brightness, support for 1 billion colours, and up to twice the resolution of comparable PC laptops, rendering text, photos, and videos with sharp clarity.
Midnight Finish with Anodised Seal: Alongside Silver, Starlight, and Space Grey, Apple highlights a breakthrough engineering process for the Midnight color option—a breakthrough anodisation seal that significantly reduces fingerprints.
Eco-Friendly Construction: Apple heavily leans on its environmental goals, billing the M3 Air as its first product made with 50 percent recycled content, including 100 percent recycled aluminum in the enclosure and 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets.
Performance, Architecture, and AI Capability
The core performance text focuses directly on the capabilities unlocked by the next-generation 3-nanometer M3 chip:
8-Core CPU and up to 10-Core GPU: The architecture delivers lightning-fast processing alongside hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing. This provides incredibly realistic lighting, reflections, and shadows for immersive gaming experiences.
Unified Memory Architecture: Supported configurations range from 8GB, 16GB, up to 24GB of unified memory, running alongside high-speed SSD storage options starting at 256GB up to 2TB.
The Premier Laptop for AI: Apple formally brands the system as a powerhouse for artificial intelligence. The 16-core Neural Engine, combined with accelerators in the CPU and GPU, enables localized execution of powerful AI models, image generation, visual recognition, and real-time speech-to-text translation.
Connectivity, Multimedia, and Magic Keyboard
For everyday real-world utility, Apple outlines specific feature upgrades that expand desktop productivity and media workflows:
Dual External Display Support: Addressing a major request from previous generations, the M3 chip officially supports up to two external displays simultaneously when the laptop lid is closed.
MagSafe 3 and Thunderbolt Ports: It features a dedicated magnetic MagSafe 3 charging port, leaving its two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports fully open to attach high-speed accessories and docks.
Enhanced Wireless Capabilities: Upgraded to Wi-Fi 6E, which offers download speeds up to twice as fast as the prior Wi-Fi 6 standard, alongside Bluetooth 5.3.
Audio and Camera Systems: Features a high-definition 1080p FaceTime HD camera paired with a three-microphone array using advanced Voice Isolation modes. Sound is driven by an immersive sound system supporting Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos.
Magic Keyboard and Touch ID: Includes a full-height function row backlit keyboard with an oversized Force Touch trackpad and integrated Touch ID for secure, fast unlocking and Apple Pay authorization.
